Question 1

How does Pawer manage available spots at foster homes?

Accepted Answer

Pawer automatically calculates remaining capacity for each foster home, by species (cats, dogs, small pets, etc.), based on declared capacity and animals already in care. You can see at a glance who is available, temporarily unavailable, or full, so you can place an animal faster without phone calls or spreadsheets.

Question 2

Is there a free plan?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Pawer has a permanent Free plan, with no credit card and no time limit. You can manage animals, foster families and adoptions from €0. Paid plans (Starter, Standard, Pro) are optional as your association grows. There is no read-only mode.

Question 3

What is the monthly cost of Pawer?

Accepted Answer

The Free plan is €0, with no card and no time limit. Paid plans (Starter, Standard, Pro) are billed excl. tax per month, with or without a commitment. Animal, foster-family and board-member quotas depend on the plan: see the pricing comparison above. After the Pro trial, you return to Free; data stays editable.

Question 4

How does the 30-day trial work?

Accepted Answer

Pawer has a permanent free access to get started. From the app, your association can start a one-time 30-day trial of Pro features. When the trial ends, you return to Free: your data is kept and stays editable, not read-only.

Question 5

Why use Pawer instead of an Excel spreadsheet?

Accepted Answer

A spreadsheet cannot manage role-based access, remaining foster spots or the vet calendar. Pawer centralises animal records, documents and follow-up, avoids duplicates and secures association data. Volunteers and foster families see the same up-to-date information, with no files circulating.

Question 6

Does the application manage multiple animal species?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Pawer is multi-species. You can manage cats, dogs, small animals (exotic pets) and other species with tracking criteria specific to each type of animal.

Question 7

How does Pawer help manage foster families (FF)?

Accepted Answer

The software tracks each foster family: capacity, accepted species, animals in care and upcoming appointments. Volunteers and the foster portal share the same data. You know who can take a cat, a dog or a small animal, without chasing people or spreadsheets.

Question 8

Is my association's data secure?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Pawer is multi-tenant software: each animal protection association's data is isolated and accessible only to authorised members. Roles (board, volunteers, foster portal) limit who sees what. Hosting is in the European Union, in line with GDPR.

Question 9

Is it possible to track veterinary appointments?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Pawer provides a shared calendar to organise vet visits, adopter meetings and animal follow-ups. Volunteers and foster families see the same up-to-date appointments, without spreadsheets or scattered messages. The agenda is available from the Starter plan, and during the Pro trial.

Question 10

Is Pawer suitable for small and large animal welfare associations?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Pawer is built for associations of every size, from local groups caring for a handful of animals to shelters managing large numbers of cats, dogs, or small pets. Permanent free access lets you get started; paid plans then scale with your number of animals, foster families, and team members, so your software grows with your association without switching tools.

Question 11

Is animal medical follow-up shared within the association?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Pawer centralises each animal's health record: vaccinations, treatments, weight curve, care history and partner vets. The whole team works from the same medical information, which makes follow-up easier for cats, dogs and small animals in foster care or at the shelter. Detailed medical tracking is included in the Pro plan, and during the Pro trial.

Question 12

Can different access rights be assigned to volunteers and foster families?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Pawer separates access for the board, volunteers, foster families (via a dedicated portal) and adopters. Each profile only sees the information relevant to their role, so the association can collaborate without exposing sensitive data unnecessarily. The detailed health record is available with the Pro plan.

Question 13

Can I browse animals for adoption and apply online?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Pawer publishes a public catalog of animals for adoption , available from the Free plan. Each profile presents the animal and lets visitors apply online via the Adopt button: the association receives the applicant’s contact details and motivation, with no account required. Ideal for animal protection associations that want visibility for their cats, dogs and small animals.

Question 14

Can foster families be recruited through Pawer?

Accepted Answer

Yes. People who want to become foster families register for free on the Pawer portal, then apply to an association or join the national pool. The association reviews profiles, proposes an animal to host, and the family responds from their space. Pawer helps recruit new foster families, not only manage those already known.
